"A: Flood Policy Scott & Meghann, I hear and understand your frustration. I drove by this morning and saw you have a Premier Restoration company working on the flooding in the basement. We spoke with you both on the Thursday, December 11th, and spoke with Scott twice on Saturday, December 13th. We have been on the phone 4 different times with the case manager from the mitigation company. Premier and Jeff Warren State Farm have been coordinating in tandem with NFIP. We both spoke to Sarah with NFIP again this morning, who then called you and left a VM. No matter the current claim status, wouldn't you agree the damage needs to be repaired? FEMA payments never proceed repair. The NFIP Claims adjusters are no longer making onsite visits. They use 3rd party vendors who are working their way through the entire Northwest region. As you repair your home, do not throw away any damaged materials leave them onsite for review by NFIP or 3rd parties. NFIP will notify you regarding when to dispose of the damaged materials and personal belongings. We will continue to work with you, Premier Restoration, and NFIP, on this claim. Thank you for giving us the grace to work with you both, and the hundreds of other Valley residents we are helping right now. Shopping local and helping local is more important than ever. My office was flooded as well as my 6 employees' being impacted by the same event. We have had flooded basements and trapped in our homes by flood waters as well for days.
